That's sounds like it could be quite a markdown! Now I heard from my State
Library that the scheme that NLS is going to use for digital books on flash is
that they're going to use128-meg cards with audio compression, so they can put
a full book on one of those!

You are correct, in this day and time, if you could buy that kind of card
it would be very out ragest It won't be too long down the road, when there
will be a twelve gig card, and it will be very cheap.

It hasn't been very many years ago, when a 500 MG hard drive was a very high
priced item. Just think of how cool it will be when you can Cary 12 are twenty
GB cards in your pocket, Talk about some podcastt storage, grin. Don

Flash cards are getting large enough so you wouldn't need to carry that
many around. You're making your decisions on information 1 2 years ago, things
are getting much better. You can buy a 12gb flash card now. Still, hard drives
are very annoying when you play back the recordings and hear them

That may be, but I don't want to carry around a million cards around
with all my data on it. I'll hold out for the hard-drive based unit. And as for
them not surviving a drop, best solution to that..Don't drop it.
