For me to buy it it also must record in uncompressed wav have good mic preamps. The edirol isn't that big even if people say it is, and it has built-in mics, I'd want this device to be comparable to at least the microtrack. If not using aa batteries, the rechargeable battery should at least be user-replacable. This would have an impact on how much I would be willing to pay. I think I would personally prefer it if the unit used standard batteries like triple a. Having said that, the specs you have outlined sound terrific and I would most certainly purchase a recorder like that with those accessibility features. I think my upper end price would be around $250 maybe slightly more if it had really really good battery life and used standard user replaceable batteries. It would also depend on what bit rates were supported for mp3 recording and if it had stereo capabilities. Sounds like an awesome unit. --Best regards, --Rick Alfaro --rick.alfaro@xxxxxxxxxxx _____ From: blindcasting-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:blindcasting-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Stephen Guerra Sent: Saturday, January 28, 2006 5:16 AM To: blindcooltech@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; blindcasting@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Potential new digital Voice Recorder/MP3 player Good morning to all-- I have a potential unit that I will briefly describe, that some or all of you might find appealing. Would you be willing to pay between $200 and $400 for a digital recorder and MP3 player that is completely accessible and is the size of a fat credit card? Some but not all of the features are: Records entirely in MP3 format, Has two (2) hours of recording time on the internal memory of the unit Can be used with SD Memory cards of all sizes up to 2GB Ability to label the folders on the unit with your voice folder on both the internal and memory card for better organization The unit only has six (6) buttons for easy use Has a rechargeable battery with AC Adapter for charging Single push of button provides storage space available and status of battery Manual for operation of unit available in MSWord format in the Internal Memory Would any of you purchase this unit and what would be the maximum you would pay?
