Juice's download limit

In Juice's preferences a user can set download size limit. I run
Juice like 3 times a day. That is run it and then exit the
program. A few hours later I run Juice again and exit the
program. I do not leave it running at all times. Understand now?
Is the download limit settings in MB for per session downloads
or actual size of one's download folder where all the podcasts
end up in.
Please explain.
