What I meant of in line with the post is what you would get if you attached an mp3 to the email that you send to the secret pop account. One needs to be careful that spam doesn't hit that account, but if it does it is easily changed since only the blog author would be using that address.

Sure it can.  But the point of podcasting is one should use the RSS feed
and operate on a subscription basis rather than downloading manually
with a web browser.  Word Press includes that link just like any other
link but also encloses it for the feed.
