On my more recent podcasts I've been using the Iriver IFP 899. It has a
display, but it is simple to use once you get the hang of it and admittedly
I have some vision, but I've heard of many others using it too. I got mine
from ebay. There even a couple iriver models that work with rockbox, but as
far as I know the ifp899 isn't one of them.

As little as possible, of course, but I want a useful product, so I might be
willing to spend a couple hundred or so if necessary.

Instead of narrowing it down by price, can we talk about perhaps the top 4
or 5 most popular ones that are blind-friendly. That would sure be helpful.
What are folks using? That's what I'd like to know.
When I hear a good sounding podcast, I always wonder what recorder was being
used.

I've found a lot of information on various microphones folks are using, but
not as much on the recorders.
What do you use? What does Larry use?

I was hoping somebody had done an overview of what's out there.

How much money do you want to spend?

While there is considerable information regarding digital recorders on
blindcooltech, you have to take the time to download the very long files,
and then, take the hours to listen to them, and I do mean hours.

So, can anyone recommend to us a reasonably good, not necessarily
professional quality, accessible digital recorder on the market that can be
used for creating the audio files to be used in podcasts?

TIA,
Ron
