Somewhere in Goldwave I'm pretty sure there is an option either when setting up a recording or configuring a recording that will let you monitor what you are recording.
Well, I realized an email without telling what you wanted would be pointless. Hit f11 and go to the record tab and hit tab. That should take you to the "monitor recording input" or something to that effect.

Thank you for replying, however, I do not understand your answer. I do not use Win Amp. Are you saying I need to install Win Amp? Or a component of it? Does Gold Wave not allow for this without installing something else? I know some people use Audacity for recording pod casts; will it allow for this type of monitoring? Again, thank you. I had the same thing. You need to install the various other bits in winamp - not th4e visual stuff, but the other stuff, then it will work. That happened to me too. Btw, the latest winamp is 5.5.2 Chrissie----- Original Message ----- From: "Shane D" <chatter8712@xxxxxxxxx>To: <blindcasting@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, February 10, 2008 11:37 AM Subject: Re: A Question about Gold Wave and/or A USB Mixer RecommendationI'm not sure where you would look, but the option would say something like "Monitor Mode" or "Software Playthrough." I have read the entire manual andyet I cannot figure out how to set it up so I can hear my own voice in myheadset as I record. I am using a USB Microphone/Headset combination on a desktop PC running XP Pro. Is there a way to do this? If not, then can you please recommend a very, very low-cost USB mixer I should purchase to help in this effort. This is for creating pod casts. I also have Call burner if this can do the job, instead.
