I don't know what you mean by, "the ultimate sacrifice". If you mean taking
up arms and killing people, th end result often is not what people thought
they were fighting for. I don't believe that violence produces an equitable,
stable, and cooperative society. It produces countries like The Soviet
Union and Communist China and racist societies that support slavery.

Hi Miriam,
I agree that there is at least a 50 percent chance that Trump and his
henchmen will try to use the military and police against dissenters. The key
is are we who dissent willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for our cause.
IF we are, then civil war could be the result. Yes, they have all the power
but if we remain strong, they can't kill or imprison all of us. If we are
not willing to make that sacrifice, then the Trumpsters will win as I
suggested under scenario number 1.
But, keep in mind that, in the long run, even powerful nations like the
Soviet Union and the Roman Empire fall.
