Hello all,

Ladder Game: Benson vs Pharis, being blocked for abuse by bellsouth.

Below are 2 return messages from my email server. I have had problems sending 
emails to bellsouth before. I eventually had to send the email over a group 
list. I kept being told my email was blocked for abuse. I investigated the site 
they suggested I consult, without really finding out what they found wrong. I 
went through the email very carefully, rewriting anything which could be seen 
as crude, sometimes words have more . than one meaning. Now, bellsouth strike 
again.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have just pasted the address from Hugh's email over the group list into a new 
email. The subject line and email were left blank. I sent it, and yet again, 
bellsouth sent it back, claiming abuse as a reason. I can only conclude, there 
is something offensive in my email address, since the rest of the email was 
blank. Can anyone suggest what is wrong with:

paul.benson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Is it possible, the letter sequence "u i d", seems to make bellsouth coil away 
in disgust. If this is so, how is it going to cope if I wished to send an 
annotated game with a comment, something like, "Here is a very interesting 
mating position" I had last week.

In case you all think this is a joke email, it is not, I am being totally 
serious. If bellsouth can not be convinced my blank email is not abusive, then 
perhaps we will have to play the game through the blind-chess list. Or, if Hugh 
is willing to be patient, I can get another email address that is less abusive, 
though being a computing rabbit, this may take a long time. I am somewhat stuck 
with a great screen reader in many ways, but if what I suspect is happening, 
then I will be reduced to someone who is literally on their first day of 
learning how to send an email using Windows, with another screen reader, which 
is very much less friendly than my present one. I have no one on hand, to 
laboriously go through the trial and error learning curves, of both Windows and 
a new screen reader.
