All Black Gold IT Folks,
As you all know, we continue to have slowness with our Polaris Terminal
Servers. All indicators and virus scans on both TS1 and TS2 so far reveal
nothing. This all started right after the first of the year so we initially
just attributed it to a lot of activity running year end reports. But
here we are one month later and the problems sporadically continue.
I have a few questions for each of you:
1.) Have you installed any NEW PCs that connect to Black Gold via terminal
services in the last 45 days?
2.) Have you UPGRADED any PCs to Windows 7 in the last 45 days?
3.) Have you added a NEW PRINTER to any Black Gold PC in the last 45 days?
4.) Have you CHANGED the printer on a Black Gold PC in the last 45 days?
5.) Have you changed or upgraded any of the DRIVERS on your Black Gold PCs
in the last 45 days?
We are trying to see if any of these are present (and if more than one we
have to take it a step at a time obviously) and then if so we can determine
and isolate the effect on the servers. Once we determine the cause then we
need to find out how best to correct. Also we are and will continue to
work with Polaris to assist with these problems.
Any ideas and assistance in resolving our terminal server issues will be
greatly appreciated by all.
Thanks,
Gary
