We are having heavy snow in Jacksonville, IL, too, and strong winds that
make it worse. I have stayed in all day. There were so many years I had to
get out that I really appreciate being able to stay in.

Wierd behavior to be sure, never have encountered this one before.

Interesting Lissy,

Stay warm we are go get the snow um, ahem, tomorrow, I think. Though I
don't think it is not coming. But would like to be proven wrong smile, as
well, even if it would bug me to no end to have one I wouldn't mind an "in
the office day". here at home.

Snuggled up with good books, my huge and truly favorite pink sweater and
sweats with my faithful and rather beautiful pup at my feet and lots of hot
chocolate. Let it snow, not in your document but in the Boston area, come
on dump it. My poor dog hasn't had snow to play in now for six weeks.
 Smile.

Dear Jamie and Fellow Booksharians,

As a blizzard pays a rare visit to Akron, I'm coping with other expanses of
white beside the one surrounding my house and burying my city.

Another book I'm validating has enormous expanses of blank masses between
pages. If I highlight one of them, my entire computer screen turns black. It
takes several page downs to get through these to the top of the following
page, but only by having my cursor on the first letter of text on that next
page and pressing backspace can I eliminate those gaps. Surprisingly, though
it takes up to 25 page downs to reach the next page, it only takes about 2
to 4 control backspaces to eliminate them, and then I have to make sure the
page number at the bott;om wasn't lost and insert the page break which
disappears in the deleting process. I'm a fourth of the way through the book
and am enjoying reading it, so I'm going to to correct its problems instead
of abandoning it.

I've tried the global replace with the three carrot w's and the three
carrot t's as Gerald and Jamie suggested. and which worked in similar
situations, but in this book, microsoft word tells me none of those
characters are in the document. I'm using microsoft word, 2003, jaws, in an
RTF file.

Unless someone has a better idea, I'll need virtual snowshoes to navigate
through this book.

Thanks in advance,

Always with love,

Lissi
