[bksvol-discuss] Re: where is my book to proofread, did someone else get it and the credit?

Jamie,

The book that you proofread that was returned for more editing is on the out
for proofreading section of the "Books in processing" link. Someone who has
the number 50 to identify him/her has the book.

As to whether you will get the credit for proofreading, I can't say. As I
recall, if a book is returned for more editing and someone takes it and does
very little work to solve the problems, that person can put a comment in the
comments section or write an email to Carrie/Pavi indicating that the original
proofreader should get the credit. I would and have done that. However, if
the last proofreader does not make that request I suspect that person will get
the credit.

That is my understanding of procedure.

Hi, all, I submitted the following book for proofreading and think it got
taken from me when the administrators returned it to the queue for more
editing. I couldn't find the file all day yesterday. Will I get credit at
all? I can't believe I've worked to get the pages right and may not get
anything. Here is the following book. Little Prince Know-It-All Welch,
Sheila Kelly and Cravath, Lynne W. Mar 1, 2009 3:08:10 AM

Thanks for any help at all in this matter as I want credit for what I've
done if possible. I really want to earn what I can as my job is hanging on by
a thread right now. Thanks, have a blessed day.
