Hi Everyone,I'm from Iowa, and have been a Bookshare member for about three years. I'm a voracious reader, and have proofread books for the Iowa Department for the Blind for three or four years, while I read Bookshare books for pleasure and learning. It's such a great service, I thought I might have something to offer as a volunteer here, too! I also plan to scan.
I am a retired health professional. I am still a registered, licensed (in Iowa) dietitian, but am not currently working. My interests in books range from technical and scientific to best-selling fiction.
If anyone has a suggestion for a book I might scan, I'm open to it. I think Scott said the other day we don't have to be approved for scanning.
I enjoy this group's discussions! Thanks for all the welcoming notes! Sandi----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger Loran Bailey" <rogerbailey81@xxxxxxx>

With this influx of new volunteers I am curious about where you all came from. I wonder if the new volunteers might want to post how you came to become a Bookshare volunteer._ _ _"The time to speak the truth has come....
