She is seldom home to take control of him, works twelve hour days and
really doesn't seem to care.

I remember, Rose. And no doubt now your sister thinks
Cody's bad behavior is all your fault.

He sounds like a child who feels  resentful and angry
because his mommy left him -- or maybe he's getting
senile (smile).Maybe sheneeds to take him to a dog
psychologist--I understand there are such things
(smile).

There's a book in the collection titled The Dog
Listener by Jan Fennell that is very interesting
reading and might help your sister to get control of
Cody again.
