I suppose if a person is not actually a paid member of Bookshare they could get the books for free by being a volunteer and taking the books off the step one page. I never really thought of it, I am a paid member in good standing, just downloaded a book today that was talked about in a meeting I attended last week, was very please to find it, it has a few errors but nothing I cannot live with.
I have not wanted to validate since my nightmare experience in early July but then too, life has been pretty hectic.
***** For those of you who knew I kept my sister's Golden Retriever, Cody earlier this summer, it seems after his return home he has been a very bad doggie! I thought I had my hands full with his antics--but apparently the other day he pulled an envelope off my sister's computer desk and ate $200 in twenties before she caught him. I guess the shirt he destroyed along with my watch band and crystal are minor in comparison. I am still laughing about this because she swore he was so well behaved and was annoyed with me for punishing him for his bad behavior while he stayed with me!

Please understand Rose that we are talking here about someone renewing a
book again and again for many many months and then releasing it without validating. We all have busy lives. Please understand we are referring to something quite different from what you describe. We all appreciate what you attempted and understand. Please feel welcome. We can sometimes be an argumentative strong minded lot.
