How long has it been? Are you asking about Return to
the City of White Donkeys or a different book?
If he's busy, it might take at least a week, maybe
two.
I'd just submit the book with a BSO in front of the
title, and in the comments explain that it's a
replacement for one in the collection that isn't as
good. The one time I asked him to put something from
the collection on page one for me he did it pretty
quickly, but that may be because he wasn't as busy as
maybe he is now.
As for which copy of Return to use, the one formatted
as the poems are in the book or the one that has the
lines "normal," like prose, that's another question.
I'd like to know that myself.
