Hi Bud,
I haven't used window-eyes in years, so my ideas may be a little rusty.

However, the two things you mention "enter the title of the book" and "browse for the title of the book" are slightly different.

The first one is an edit field where you would enter the full title of the book, such as, "c:\books\The Sorrows of an American.rtf" I believe you have to hit enter on that field before you can enter the title.

Your second choice "browse for the title of the book" is a button. If you hit enter on that button your computer will come up with a list of files on your computer much like an open dialog. You can use this to go find your book in the books folder, and tab to the open button and hit enter. I personally prefer this method because my typing is notoriously bad and this lets you find the full name on the computer without having to remember how to spell everything.

After you have used one of these methods (they are mutually exclusive, which means you use one or the other, but not both) tab down to the submit button and hit enter.

Hope this helps.

Bob

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your note. I'm using windoweyes and kurzweil, but I don't think they are the problem. I've scanned and sent in many books but this one is giving me problems. It always kicks back when I have sent it and the book title is misdsing. (I guess I'm a little confused about the two boxes for the book title. One says something about entering the name of the book and the other one says brouse for the title. There's no punctuation in the title to cause trouble. It looks like this,
c:\books\The Sorrows of an American.rtf Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Hi Bud,
Thanks for scanning Waiting to Surface.

I remember your prior message about upload difficulties, but unfortunately I don't remember the details.

Please tell us what software you are using (jaws, window-eyes, spouse *smile*), and the message you get when you try to upload the book.

I appologize if this info was in your prior message, but, I can't find your message.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi gang,
I'm just starting to scan "Waiting to Surface by Emily Listfield. I couldn't find it in the list so I assume it's not there so I'm going ahead with it. I'm still trying to upload "The Sorrows of an American and for some reason it won't cooperate. Maybe somebody saw my notice about it and can give me a clue.
