Hi Ann,I hate that office assistant!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I'v already converted the file. If I just save it as an RTF file, will it turn out all right in the end? I tried not converting it but it wouldn't load any other way. I use Windows XP and Word 2002. I think the whole package is office xp.
One more question and I'm temporarily done. Since this is my first proofreading attempt, is there any way someone can have a look and let me know if I missed anything? It would help me learn and boost my confidence.
thanks much, Nancy Martin Oklahoma----- Original Message ----- From: "siss52" <siss52@xxxxxxxxxxx>

It's like somebody who grabs you and pushes you across the street. Tell it no, when it asks you if you want to convert the file. Just be firm, no nonsense, and very clear with Word. Tell it no. You are in control, notit. Speak firmly. Don't yell, don't pound your keyboard, but speak firmly! Some day, I am going to go out to that place in Washington State and tellthe creators of Word to quit trying to run a computer user's life. <grrrrr>If it isn't the office assistant popping up and saying in that overlysolicitous voice, "You're writing a letter, do you want help?" It's tryingto put bullets where you don't want 'em, numbering lists and generally causing havoc. Just speak firmly and tell it no. Ann P. -- AAnn K.
