Hi all, Nancy, this is one of the times when MSWord is being overly helpful. It's like somebody who grabs you and pushes you across the street. Tell it no, when it asks you if you want to convert the file. Just be firm, no nonsense, and very clear with Word. Tell it no. You are in control, not it. Speak firmly. Don't yell, don't pound your keyboard, but speak firmly! Some day, I am going to go out to that place in Washington State and tell the creators of Word to quit trying to run a computer user's life. <grrrrr> If it isn't the office assistant popping up and saying in that overly solicitous voice, "You're writing a letter, do you want help?" It's trying to put bullets where you don't want 'em, numbering lists and generally causing havoc. Just speak firmly and tell it no. Ann P. -- AAnn K.
