Hi, Dan! If the copyright info is in the book, you're okay, and there's no
need to search for it on-line. Don't worry if you can't find an ISBN. They
aren't required, just preferable, but not all books have them. Another
thing to consider when you're trying to find one, though, is that they are
sometimes found by spelling out International Standard Book Number, rather
than using the acronym. Hope this helps!

I am validating another book, "Riders of The Plains" by
Max Brand/Frederick Faust. I can see the copyright info in the book but I
can't find the book at the copyright.gov site at all by author or title at
all. I have even searched by just part of the title and just the author's
last name and still nothing.
It was suggested earlier that I do a search by ISBN number. How do I do
that on the copyright.gov site? It doesn't look like the ISBN is the same
format as the registration number.
