Hi Everyone, I thought I would start out by submitting a book first. I am currently scanning a paperback book however, it is fairly large. I have Kurzweil 1000, and I have not had as many errors with paperbacks after following the tips in yesterday's post. I am pressing down on the spine as hard as I can, but due to the thickness it is hard to flatten it out. My question is should I take the cover off my scanner, or remove the spine of the book. I would have no problem doing that since it is my copy. If I need to remove the spine, what would be the easiest way to do this? I will submit this book, after I have finished scanning it. I will also have more time to do validation after I graduate from college right now, I am completing my last internship. Thank in advance for any suggestions. sincerely, Lisa.
