God I wish this subject would quit coming up. Page breaks can be so confusing because of Microsofts meddling.

Now that my mini rant is over and is in no way directed at any one, please continue asking questions when necessary, that's the best way to learn. Page breaks are preserved in TXT documents. It's programs like Notepad, MS Word, etc. that strip them out when working with TXT.

OpenBook was sold to Freedom Scientific quite a long time ago, thus why all of my posts blame FS for OpenBooks short comings....or are you skipping my posts E? *grin*
If you want to read more about the sale of OpenBook, take a look at the bottom of the FAQ or About Us pages. I would guess that if OpenBook were still in Benetech's domain that it would have a few less annoyances.

But it you save it txt you may fix the quotes but I thought it ruined page breaks. What is going on that Open Book cannot preserve quotes correctly in .rtf? Doesn't ookshare have some contact officially with open book to work on these issues? They are both benetech aren't they?
