I just posted some information on Rank Spelling on Jake's scanning tips page. This was written by Tiffany.

This is also a reminder for people to feel free to utilize this page and also post tips. So far, with 1 exception I have been the only 1 to post. I used materials that have been previously posted on this list.
So don't be shy. *grin*

Shannon

What ranked spelling does is list, in the number of times words are found,
words it believes may be not spelled correctly.
By focusing on the more frequently occurring words, you can quickly build
up the accuracy of the file.
Also, when words occur frequentlyas an error, it is more likely that they
are, in fact, probably ok.

As Elizabeth has mentioned on numerous occasions, getting the ranked
spelling of a book to a higher number becomes sort of a game to many of us
upon occasion.
