Rosie, I do not put this preliminary information at the back of the book. It is quite possible that there arre no print numbers for this preliminary material. Just be sure you know what the first print number is as the main content of the book starts. Often it is not 1 but 2 or 3. Let that be your guide and then start numbering your pages. At least that's the way I, and I think a number of other submitters and proofreaders do. Jill ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rosie Morales" <nothingbutlime@xxxxxxxxx>

Hi list members! I remember reading somewhere in the new proofreading manual that books with book jacket information, dedication, table of contents, and so on be placed at the end of the book if no page numbers were on the original scan so that the bookshare page numbering tool would be sure to preserve page numbers. I have a book here that does not do this, and I have seen other submissions that do not do this. Can someone elaborate on this particular point for me? I'm a bit confused as per how to proceed.
