I would have done the same thing Roger, giving the benefit of a doubt that they were right.

I'll leave  those to ones who know best about them.

There are several cookbooks on the checkout list that need someone to get around to proofreading them. I no longer proofread them. I did do some, but it was the discussion on this list about the fractions that made me stop. I proofread them assuming that if a fraction looked right then it was probably right. Then I learned that was not necessarily true. It might not be a bad idea for someone to download and check the cookbooks I did before quitting them.

Cookbooks are such a bear to scan. It is hard to scan them as a sighted
person. If a sighted person scans and thorougly checks the fractions, I
think a blind person could proof them but there could still be mistakes. I'm
going to scan some more cookbooks (just like I'm going to scan some more
chess books) but they require so much work that I have to mentally gear
myself up for it first.
