I would have done the same thing Roger, giving the benefit of a doubt that they were right.
I'll leave those to ones who know best about them. Some of them sound good though. Gwen----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger Loran Bailey" <rogerbailey81@xxxxxxx>

There are several cookbooks on the checkout list that need someone to get around to proofreading them. I no longer proofread them. I did do some, but it was the discussion on this list about the fractions that made me stop. I proofread them assuming that if a fraction looked right then it was probably right. Then I learned that was not necessarily true. It might not be a bad idea for someone to download and check the cookbooks I did before quitting them._ _ _ "As a woman I have no country. It is hard to scan them as a sighted person. If a sighted person scans and thorougly checks the fractions, Ithink a blind person could proof them but there could still be mistakes. I'mgoing to scan some more cookbooks (just like I'm going to scan some more chess books) but they require so much work that I have to mentally gear myself up for it first. -- Jamie in Michigan Currently Reading: The Lock Artist by Steve Hamilton Earn cash for answering trivia questions every 3 hours: http://instantcashsweepstakes.com/invitations/ref_link/49497 See everything I've read this year at: www.michiganrxtech.com/books.htmlTo unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxput the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
