I use a : and that is it. As I find the brackets annoying, smile.
And frankly we can't get the book perfect, and represented the way the print
edition wants it, because it is a copy. So I like that Excellent allows for
errors, even if it is "very few" that was smart on bookshare's part.

I used to do that, Guido, but one of our list members
told me that it's annoying to people who listen to the
books, so I've stopped. Now I use a different size
font. What is the general consensus among listeners
and braille users? Are brackets around our additions
to the books' texts annoying or not? I used to put my
descriptions of illustrations in brackets also, and
use the word Illustration to identify them, but I
don't do that any more, either; I use different fonts
for the text and the descriptions. I doubt that the
voices reading the book to those who listen
distinguish, but ...
Whatever the most people want, or whatever the
administrators want, I'm happy to do.
