more professional development ideas:

* books on how to use software such as Word or Excel and not just how to
use but how to create things with it useful to small businesses such as
fliers, databases in Excel, and well formatted reports. Because we cannot
see the results, some kinds of books on formatting and how to make
documents look good may be particularly useful.

* books on personal finance including investing.

* books on how to develop the kinds of skills which will make more of us
hireable

* books on job seeking
