We're glad to have you around too. You're also very good at explaining things
as are so many other volunteers.
I used to be apprehensive about posting here because I don't have a vast
technical knowledge of computers, but you guys have made me feel much more

As far as I know, Bookshare has actually hired three people from the
volunteer community as full staff members. Jake, Carrie, and Allison are on
staff and do a great job of explaining a lot of our needs, wants, and quirks
that make us an unique group. Each of them brings the lessons they learned as
volunteers to their work, and I think that's really valuable to Bookshare's
development. There are also several former volunteers working as contractors
for Bookshare and who are lending their strength in the collection development
department. I'm glad to have them around.
