Hi all,

Original message:
Well let's see.

We had to replace our daughter's cell phone because it went through the
washing machine cycle. Now all the little cover things on the buttons
of our cell phone are coming off and getting harder to dial every day.
So probably have to go find one for us.

Es la vida, no?

Our New Year's Eve celebration was spoiled because the Dad of our
daughter's friend forgot which house his son was going to be at. He
got mad and gave him a beating when he came to pick him up.

Hmmm, that's not right. First, it isn't right to punish somebody else for your own mistakes. Second, how old is this kid? Beating your child in public is probably an indication that he's being physically abused at home as well. That's grounds for reporting him to somebody.

I'm sorry your party was spoiled. However what concerns me is the kid. It's probably too sticky a matter for you to do anything about, but if the kid's in school, you might talk to the counselor and ask him or her to keep an eye on things.

Ann P.
