Which is really cool.  Kurzweil is the only company I know that has this 
advantage.  With FS you have to "pay for" all the upgrades in-between.

And for other products you have the  SMA system which... alas.

But indeed it is wonderful that if say you had version 5 and decided at one 
point to upgrade, you only have to pay $985.

One of the best ways to improve your scans is to improve (upgrade upgrade)
your software.  Even if you have an old old version of Kurzweil it only
costs a one time charge of $95 to get the latest version 9.  It has many
features to create excellent scans.

For those of you who have not upgraded, the new features are fun as well as
extremely powerful.
