[bksvol-discuss] Re: paragraphs--indented or line skipped between?

Cindy,

You are so very thoughtful! Thanks for asking.

I sometimes use the screen reader or the Book Port to read navigating by
paragraph. And it has been such that if there was not a blank line between
the paragraphs (or 2 returns, or whatever you call that line break code)
between that it would not be recognized as break between paragraphs. So the
screen reader would not stop reading, it would just go on until a blank line
occurred.

Does that help?

I don't have a huge issue about editing the books in this way, however,
creating blank lines between paragraphs for the books.

I'm not sure what other things might be a factor. Someone else should
comment.

Thanks.
Rik

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] paragraphs--indented or line skipped between?

O.K.--now I need to ask again.

A couple of years ago, I think it was, I asked about
paragraphs and at that time more people found indented
paragraphs easier to read than those with lines
skipped between them. Whether they were Braille or
Jaws readers I don't remember--so I've been using
indented paragraphs. Sometimes, when there is a lot of
dialogue, paragraphs have to be indented rather than
have line spaces between them or they won't fit on the
proper page.

So what do most of you prefer? Bob, you've already
answered. smile
