Kelly, well, I'll tell u what I just told Cindy. I don't know what
the original scanning program was as I was just the validator. There
were headers in the book, which provided page numbers & I made sure
that the page breaks in word coincided w/those, then saved it as an
rtf file. So I'm very perplexed as to why this occurred. I'd sure
appreciate any direction/help.

Hi Jackie,
Is there any chance that section breaks were used instead of page breaks?
For example, was the book scanned with a stand-alone copy of fine reader?
If so, we can give you some directions on how to straighten things out.
The other problem would be if the book was ever a txt file run through a
Word Processor like Word. If that's the case, unfortunately the page breaks
are permanent history.
Hth,
Kellie
