Here is a tip for adding blank lines before page numbers.  You can add a
blank before and after a page break in MS Word by going to the "find and
replace" box using alt h.  Then in the find box type ^m.  In the replace box
type ^p^m^p.  Then tab until you hear the "replace all" button and press
space or enter.  This will put a blank line both before and after a page
break.  It won't put a blank line between the page number and the text, one
has to do that by hand.  Even so, I've found that the above technique saves
me a little bit of time while validating.

BTW, before anyone claims that I'm brilliant, I got this idea from Jamie Y at one point. I'm afraid I can't take credit for it. *smile*.
