Hi Gail,

In your examples of page numbers preceded and followed by either spaces or
under scores, I'd, unfortunately, delete all extra spaces and or underscores
so that all page numbers appear at the left margin. You can do this by
using the find and replace to remove multiple spaces and replace with a
single space, and then use the find and replace to delete groups of
underscores and replace with nothing.
Can you please describe how the page numbering is off in the latter part of
the book? Are there pages missing? If that is the case, the submitter, or
someone else will need to provide you with the missing pages. You can either
contact the submitter, or request help here.

Does that help?

Mayrie

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] page number line problem

This book has one major problem.

Welcome Home

Christopher J. Alexander, Ph.D

The page number lines are done in the following formats:

284
In my first example the page number is listed on the left followed by a line
of spaces.

                                                                  283 The
second example spaces with the page number on the right side of the line.

282__________________________________________
In the third example the page number is listed on the left followed by a
line of underscore.
also, in part of the book the consecutive page numbering is off.

I am using Kurzweil 12.

Any help is appreciated.
