Hello Everyone:

In her post, Amy had mentioned the "do not call list".

Here's the phone number:

Phone: (888) 382-1222

I, too, got the Bank of America Spam and sent it along to the land of
spamers. I almost called a nephew who works for B of A but realized what it
was in time to avoid embarrassing myself. As for the phone calls, is not the
"Don't Call" list still available? I don't remember how to get on it but I am
rarely bothered since I went on it. Of course if you have caller ID there is
an easy way to avoid such calls. Any calls from which the caller is hidden
just don't answer - delete or hang up.

I had need of avoiding certain calls and since I do not have caller ID got
privacy protector from AT&T which does the screening all such calls and once I
hear the first words, it cuts in and gives me three choices including ignoring
the call and disconnecting, identifying the caller as a sales person and
disconnecting which will block all such further calls from that caller, or to
let the call go through. It is +/- $5 a month but for me it was w orth it. I
assume other phone companies have such a service.

Whatever you choose, I wish you luck. I do know I now have few calls in which
the privacy protector cuts in to question., And I have even fewer calls that I
don't want. I wish you luck.

  Amy
