Jake. It is sometimes tedieous to here the subject and rest of the fields
at the tops of messages, but JAWS will read them. Perhaps you tab into
messages instead of hitting enter on the first message you want to read?
If you press enter on the message to open it JAWS reads the from and
subject fields before reading the body of the message even when you go from
message to message by hitting delete or Control-GreaterThan.
Maybe JAWS is just behaving differently for you. I know that does happen.
I can only tell you how it works for me. :-)

Or I could have just read the entire subject before the message.... I'm
prone to hitting either the delete or control+greater than to move to the
next message which only reads the body....

Tina,
You didn't specify your screen reader of preference so here's the
info from the JAWS help. (note: i've not tried this!)
Multiple Selection
To make multiple selections in a list box, press TAB to move into the
list box. Press SHIFT+F8 to move into Multi-Select mode. Use UP and DOWN
ARROW to
move through the list, and press SPACEBAR to make your selections. Press
SHIFT+F8 again when you are finished.
HTH,
Jake

Hi. I am trying to set up e-mail alerts on a few job sites and I can't
figure out how to go through the list boxes and pick multiple items. It
says hold down the control but when I do it on the keyboard, it doesn't
seem to pick more than one. if anyone knows how to do this can you let me
know? thanks sorry guyds, I've been at this all day and am extremely
frustrated and feel like I DON'T know how to get where I want to be.

Hi Sue,
Not a problem. It's already in the collection, so no one else will
have to validate it.

Hi All:
I have been working on a book for quite a while and am thoroughly
sick of
it. I find it depressing and am going to release it for someone
else who
would not find it depressing. The book is: "The Year of Magical
Thinking"
and the author is Joan Didion. Sorry to be such a lousy spport.
Thanks,
Sue S.
