Hi Melissa, You can get rid of most soft pagebreaks by changing your paper size. Just changing my papersize to legal usually does it but you can make it as long as 22 inches.

Jamie,
Thanks, this was a big help. I discovered that there were many soft page breaks. After doing the find and replaces, I'm much closer to the page count. I also discovered the WindowEyes says page break where there is an actual page break. For instance, it would say,
"page 29
page 30 page break
page 31".
Thanks again for your help.

Melissa

Hi Melissa, someone else will be able to tell you how Window Eyes says the page breaks for the hard and soft page breaks. I only know what they visually look like. But if you are in doubt, you can replace the ^m (page break) with qqq and see how many you get. Those are the real page breaks. Then of course, undo the global replace so they go back to page breaks. Or replace all instances of qqq with ^p^m^p (which gives you a blank line before and after each page break, which is what you ideally want).
