Hi, I agree with Monica, start with the manual, and let us know if anything is confusing and we'll help make it clear.

Hi. If you're new to Bookshare, you will need to sign up as a volunteer as well. That is done so Bookshare can make sure volunteers get help and training as they begin to scan or proofread books. From the Bookshare home page, click the link that says "Volunteers." You can sign up to volunteer there. If you have already done this, you will learn most about proofreading, and volunteering in general, by reading the volunteer manual. You can find this by going to the Bookshare site, logging in, and clicking on the link that says "volunteer home." On that page, you will find links to the manual, to the list of books available for proofreading, and links for other resources used by volunteers. I'll be glad to help you get going. I think reading the manual will help you understand the process in general, and we can help you with your questions at that point. (smile) Welcome to Bookshare. -- Monica Willyard Visit my GoodReads book shelf at http://www.goodreads.com/plumlipstick To unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxput the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
