No, not in Window Eyes.

Will number-row numbers navigate among heading levels?

Scott,
Using Window Eyes, all the navigational short cut keys seem to work as with
HTML:
h moves between headings
s moves between lists
adding shift to those keys moves backwards
insert+tab creates a list of links
Because I navigated using the same keystrokes in the wiki as on a webpage, I
did not know that the language was different.

Folks,

We need to keep in mind that while a wiki page feels like a duck and
quacks like a duck it doesn't taste like a duck to some software.

While HTML is globally standardized wiki markup language is not. Some of
what works for HTML pages, like navigating headings by pressing H, may not

work at all on a wiki page.

Which, if any, of these sorts of shortcuts work for you in this wiki
document? Which screen reader are you using as you test this?

People who use screen readers can press H and jump by heading. I found it
to
be quite useful.

Hi Scott,

I would like to add my voice to the thoughts that the layout of the manual
is quite unpleasant to use for screen reader users.

the mechanism of reading through a section and then having to return to
the
TOC to find the links to the next desired section is very cumbersome.

I too fear that this may result in new volunteers becoming confused
because
of having to spend so much time navigating the manual rather than reading.

I too feel it would be much more effective to have the entire manual on
one
site page so that any section can be reached either via a search of by
navigating via heading and the like.

I can say that if my wife were reading the manual she too would become
frustrated and she is sighted. She finds it rather bothersome to have to
click through multiple links just to find a specific page in a manual.
She
has spoken this very frustration to me many times.

thanks.
