When I was looking for something else, I discovered a
relatively new book--published in 2005--by Alison
Weir, Queen Isabella: treachery, adultery, and murder
in medieval England.

The summary in the library catalog: "portrait of Queen
Isabella describes her marriage to Edward II, the
king's homosexual affairs, her flight back to France,
and her alliance with her husband's arch-enemy, Roger
Mortimer, with whom she launched a revolution." The
period, 1292-1358.

Alison Weir, I've discovered, writes interestingly
written, very readable histories. The book is around
460 plus pages. If anyone wants to scan it, I'd be
happt to validate it or to let anyone else do it who
wants to.

At the moment we only have one book by Weir in the
collection--two excellent copies submitted by Kenneth
Cross of Henry VIII, the King and his Court, but I
know people are working on Henry VIII and his children
and The Wars of the Roses. I think Gerald said he'd
notify Gustavo about the duplication when G returns.
Both are available in BRF and Daisy.
