Finally got the cover to read, but had to put the brightness up to 65,
and gray scale wouldn't work for me. I had to put the threshhold on
dynamic. I don't know if the settings depend on individual scanners or
not. Most seem to have the best luck with gray scale, but when I try
using it, I either get garbage, or it tells me that the page is blank
when it isn't.
