I just submitted Good Night Mr. Tom by Michelle Magorian...
It is the start of World War II and children are being evacuated from London.
When Willie, an abused boy is evacuated to live with Tom, a man who is gruff
but kind, will he learn that beatings are not how love is proven? Will the
scared little boy and the gruff old man come to love each other? This book
with its lovely cast of characters is a must read!!
