Monica: You are welcome. Don't take me to heart. Just keep proofing on PM. I have had a bad run of luck, but as Allyssa said, save/save/save! (smiles) Beware also, and really pay heed to this. When you first open a book in FSEdit, if you decide to try it, let the file open completely. Put your finger on the cursor and wait and wait and wait until that cursor starts flashing. It is then fully open. If you happen to begin reading, or trying to read before the cursor flashes, the book will be corrupted. Learned the hard way. It is something I had no way to do until 2 months ago, and you have so much knowledge and experience that I don't. Learning to use the Pac Mate has felt like singing along with a song where I only know the chorus and a few words of the verses. Most of my questions on various lists have been met with the advice to "upgrade to an Omney," and I can't do that since this device belongs to my employer. I've wanted Braille access for years, and I'm thrilled to have it now. I'm glad to know that I can use FSEdit for proofreading because it keeps track of the place where you finished reading and opens up to that spot when you open the file again. Pocket Word doesn't do that. Thanks for all of your ideas and for helping me feel more confident with my Pac Mate.
