Yes, they are becoming popular. I believe they are called tankless water
heaters. Two of the best companies to use are Renai and Noritz. Sorry in
advance for the spelling. I'm not sure how they are spelled. I only know
this because I listen to home improvement shows here in Texas. I hope this

You may want to investigate a just in time water heater which does not
keep a lot of water hot all at once but heats it as needed. Plumbers know
what I mean so they can explain it to you better than I can.
