Hi Phyllis,
I'm glad you're finding the book to be better than anticipated. You should
use the page numbers from the headers. The others have been created by Word.
In order to get rid of them you have to find the inappropriate page breaks
and delete them like you would any other character. You can use
ctrl-pagedown to go to the tops of the pages, and the ones that are bad you
can delete.
