Jill,
If you have :"Spanish" enabled, iunder Recognition, it should be seeing the 
accent marks.

Also make sure despeckle is off.

I am validating a book with a lot of Spanish conversation in it. Kurzweil is making many errors since it does not recognize the accent marks. When I make corrections they have no accent signs. What do the rest of you do and how do 
the people submitting books in Spanish handle this situation.
