Mayrie,
Unfortunately the manual isn't very helpful in this case. What I
am trying to do is scan (for my own use) image PDF files. I am
wondering about the settings to have to make sure these images
(not actual print books) are scanned correctly.

Hi Kelby,
If you go to the bookshare site, and then the "volunteer
home" page,
(assuming you are signed up as a volunteer) look there for a link
called
"scanning and proofreading manual". In there are tips for both
scanning and
proofreading using Kurzweil 1000 version 11. Those are the most
concise
instructions that I know about.
