As I said, Guido, the important thing is that all of the text be included.
Yes, all pages should be included. However, if page numbers are not
available, a book should not be trashed if the text quality is what it needs
to be. Until a member of the Bookshare staff says differently, I'm sorry,
but those are the rules!

Sorry, there must be a 1 to 1 match between printed pages and etext
pages. If pages are missing they should be integrated. If there are
duplicate pages extra copy must be removed.
If it is clear there is no 1 to 1 page correspondence, at least for the
body-text after all front matter, and nothing can be done about it, the
book should be trashed.

  Let's keep quality up, folks!

Hi, Rachael! The main thing is to make sure that all of the text is
there. If yyou have access to the book, you can re-scan pages to make the
numbers match up if you want to. Take care!

In general you should scan with column recognition turned off and
two-pages-per-scan turned on. It may be faster to rescan the table of
contents than to fix it.

              Subject [bksvol-discuss] contents in columns?

hello, i've only validated until now but thought i'd try a bit of
scanning.
The table of contents is in two columns, do I leave the information this
way
or do I put it on separate pages so it flows numerically?
  Ex:
  chapter 1 chapter 5
  1-1 5-1
  1-2 5-2
  etc etc

  OR

  chapter 1
  1-1
  1-2
  etc
  chapter 2
  etc
  chapter 3
  .
  .
  chapter 5
  5-1
  5-2
  etc

  Thank You
  Rachel
