  Thanks for the tip, and the welcome back.  I really did miss this list. 
*smile* I'll take the tip on creating a fake header.  I've been putting in a 
couple of extra lines before a chapter header, but now I'm thinking that 
probably wasn't enough.
   Glad you thought the book was a good scan.  I was having a problem for a 
while where Kurzweil kept wanting to put in spaces before accented letters, so 
I've been working to fix that before I submit a book.  I hope the book you 
submitted was better.

  Your concern about chapter headings is far from petty; we've all been rather 
frustrated with the overzealous stripper of late. The best thing to do when 
submitting or validating is to make a fake header above the chapter number. 
  Btw, I validated a Spanish book you submitted, and it was a very excellent 
scan.
