I don't know. I don't even see many of her books at big book stores.

I think writing to her is a great idea. You might tell
her how many fans she has here (you probably were
already planning t do that) and how many of her books
are already scanned and in the collection. As for our
buying her books -- I get mine from the library, but
I've looked at the bookshelves in the grocery store
and drugstores where they have popular paperbacks for
sale and not one so far has had one of hers, though
they do have other popular authors such as Maeve
Binchey, Sandra Brown, Grisham, etc. I've wondered
why. Is that something she doesn't want?

Hi all!
I wanted to run this by everyone before I went ahead
and did it. I was going to email Bertrice Small and
see if she could provide bookshare with manuscripts
of the books we don't have and whatever new ones she
writes. However, I realize that if she does this for
free, she won't make a profit. But if we agree to
pay regular price for the book in return for the
manuscript she might be more willing. I realize that
bookshare is a non-profit organization, but some
books scanned by the office are store bought, right?
I want people's opinions before I do this. If
someone higher up would rather do it, please let me
know.
