[bksvol-discuss] Re: book upload

It's beginning to sound like you might have a problem with the file name. The system from time to time has found some file names it doesn't care for, and that message will result. It's been a while since we've had this come up so I don't remember which characters in particular it doesn't like. The best practice for file names, is to stay away from punctuation other than the 1 . before the file extension, no spaces, only use alphabetic characters and numbers, as well as _ in place of spaces, and the \s and : that are part of the path name.
E.G. C:\My Documents\my_book.zip
Note: The space between My and Documents is part of the path, not the file name. The file name in this case was my_book with an extension of .zip, which is also considered part of the file name.

Initially, it sounded like you were having difficulty finding the browse field, but if you entered the correct path and file name, it's more likely this that is causing the difficulty.

Well, I ended up rejecting the book I was trying to upload. No matter how hard I tried to browse or write the correct path of the file it didn't work. I continually got a file not found message. This happen even when the correct file was in the edit field. I must have corrupted. If it is in step one I shall download it and fix the errors and send it back up. Next time with better results hopefully.
